Wids were strong in the scrums and the lineouts and the backs played some great rugby throughout. Southport backs were strong and fast and were given too much space during the first half. Having been behind until about 50 minutes in, Wids found their form as a team and took control of the game, running in several tries, with some excellent and difficult conversions being made.

This was a great opportunity to test out more players across the back positions ahead of a tough game against St Edwards OB next week. Thanks and respect given to Matty Morgan, Tom Randle and Josh Cosgrove for putting on a Southport shirt. Final score 38-25.
