Because of the vagaries of league rugby, it is some years since Widnes and Vale last met in the
league.
It was back in 2015-16 when the pair were last on a level footing in North One West. That season, honours finished all square, with Vale winning their home match by 24pts - 5, whilst the 'red-and-blacks' edged their home fixture by a much narrower margin of 14pts - 13.
More recently, the pair met in a Lancashire Cup quarter-final on 27th August 2022, which the Wids managed to win 36 – 27.
This season, Vale sit in seventh place in Regional 2 North West with two wins and three defeats from their five matches thus far.
The game will kick off at 3.00pm.
