WRU I entertained Ford 'B', one of the stronger teams in the division and with Davy unavailable at short notice through injury managed a very creditable performance in losing 4-6. On another night, Frank, in particular, and Billy would probably have notched at least one more win each and with Jim stepping up from the 2nd division to pull of a good win against a good opponent, a win may well have been on the cards. But Ford deserved their win.

WRU II played one of our other teams WRU IV, with WRU II having a comfortable win. WRU IV were missing their No.1 Gordon.

WRU III had a free week.

WRU V lost narrowly at home to Farnworth 4-6 with youngsters Jordan and Glyn notching up a triple of singles between them and a doubles win.
