Twenty years ago, a team from Widnes ventured into the Boyne Valley to play Rugby and sing a few songs. If you remember the songs, come along to Team Talk Wednesday. If you don't, they could very well be the ones that inspired Tony Blair and Bill Clinton to bring peace to a troubled land: American Pie, I Get Knocked Down, Great Balls of Fire, Help, When I'm Sixty Four, The Wild Rover, Daydream Believer, Glad All Over, Simply the Best, Don't Look Back in Anger, Stand By Me and Living Next Door to Alice. These were all selected by choir master Tom Roberts. He may be at Team Talk Wednesday, he may not ......but his song sheet will be.
Join us tonight at 8 o'clock (ish). It looks like we're going to have three screens - one for Juve v Man U, one for old time videos and one for photos of Lancs Cup Finals and Tours.
I'll have two cameras and recording equipment, some of which I know how to use and some I don't .......and as for When I'm Sixty Four.
