It was the first time in around 20 years, that the Club were in a position to be able to field two Colts sides, which is a real testament to the hard work that has been put in over the years, particularly by the coaching staff of the respective teams.

The senior Colts turned in an outstanding performance to beat Southport by 49pts – 14, with tries from; George (2), Fitz (2), Feeley (2) and Finch who also kicked 7 conversions.

Meanwhile, the junior Colts lost an entertaining game 37 – 21 against Wirral Gulls.

Next weekend (10th September), the junior Colts are away at Rochdale (ko 12.30pm), whilst the senior Colts host West Park-Sefton (ko 2.00pm)
